The Port of Rønne is obligated to have an approved system for waste disposal just like other harbours.

 

A drawback of waste disposal is that the disposer of the waste often is obligated to sort and store the waste before it can be sendt ashore.

 

The Port of Rønne is very aware of this dilemma and progressively works to create flexible and safe arrangements. A system for collection of waste has been established by setting up collection spots throughout the harbour area.

 

Port of Rønne A/S is environmentally certified according ti ISO 14001:2004. The certification is updated annually and has a big impact not only on the environment, but also on which harbours cruise lines decide to utilize.
